AlbumDrop

AlbumDrop mobile app guide

How to use the AlbumDrop mobile app.

Browse albums and mixes, keep listening with the player, save what you love, unlock supporter access, and switch into creator mode when you need to manage your own drops.

Step 1

Open Mixes or Albums

The app opens with Mixes first, followed by Albums, so it is easy to move between DJ sets and release pages.

Step 2

Press play

Start from a card or detail page, then keep listening with the mini player and full now-playing screen.

Step 3

Save, follow, or support

Use your fan account to save favourites, follow creators, unlock supporter access, and stay close to future drops.

Step 4

Switch to creator mode if you create

The app is built for listeners first, but creators can switch modes to update profiles, build drops, publish on the move, and stay close to paying fans.

1. Getting started

AlbumDrop mobile is built mainly for listeners and supporters. You can browse before signing in, then add a fan account when you want saved items, follows, library access, or supporter features.

  • One account can move between listener and creator mode where creator access is available.
  • The bottom navigation is Mixes, Albums, Community, Library, then Profile.
  • Profile is where you manage your account, saved items, followed creators, and support help.

2. Discover albums and mixes

Albums and Mixes each have their own browsing surface, and search is built into both views so you can find a creator, release, or mix quickly.

  • Use Albums to explore releases, singles, and artist pages.
  • Use Mixes for stream-first DJ listening, creator follows, and community-led discovery.
  • Creator names and artwork open into full release or creator pages when available.

3. Play and manage your listening

Playback stays active while you move around the app, so you can keep listening without losing your place.

  • The mini player stays visible while you browse.
  • The full player gives you transport controls and a clearer now-playing view.
  • Tapping artwork in the player can take you back to the album or mix you are currently hearing.

4. Save and follow

Saving and following make it easier to come back to what matters instead of searching again every time.

  • Save albums and mixes to your Library from discovery or detail pages.
  • Follow artists and DJs to keep your creator list up to date across your fan account.
  • Saved items and followed creators are also easy to revisit from Profile.

5. Support artists and DJs

AlbumDrop is designed to help fans move from listening into direct support when a creator has enabled it, so creators are not forced to depend only on streams and algorithm reach.

  • Album pages can offer one-time support, subscriptions, or both, depending on the release setup.
  • Download access is handled through email links when a release includes thank-you downloads.
  • Mix pages focus on streaming, follows, and community access first, so support options can vary by release.

6. Access subscriptions and exclusive content

Library is where unlocked access comes together once your fan account is verified on the device you are using, giving you a single place for the value you have unlocked with the creators you support.

  • Active subscriptions and supporter unlocks can open vault items, private updates, and album community access.
  • If a creator includes thank-you downloads, the app sends the download link to your fan email.
  • When available, you can keep audio inside the app for easier repeat listening on your device.

7. Join creator communities

Community is built into the mobile experience so fans can stay close to a project after the first play or support action.

  • Use the Community tab for broader conversation and creator activity.
  • Album and mix pages can also open release-specific discussions when those spaces are active.
  • A verified fan account makes it easier to re-enter community threads and unlocked spaces on mobile.

8. Manage your profile and account

Profile helps you manage your fan identity, support access, and app-level settings in one place.

  • Send yourself a fan access link if you need to reconnect Library or community access on a new device.
  • Use Profile to review followed creators, saved items, and support contacts.
  • If you need help, the mobile support page and contact options are available from the public site and in-app help surfaces.

9. Creator mode

Creator mode is available inside the same mobile app, but it is a secondary experience compared with listening and supporter use. It is there to help creators keep momentum, update pages faster, and manage direct fan offers without waiting to get back to a desktop.

  • Creators can edit their profile, including stage details, images, and banners.
  • Creators can create album drops and mix drops, upload artwork and audio, save drafts, and publish from mobile.
  • Album and mix gallery uploads are available, and mix creators can manage sponsor slots where their package allows it.

10. Notifications

If notifications are enabled on your device, AlbumDrop can stay in touch when supporter access, links, or drop activity needs your attention.

  • Following creators helps the app keep your creator relationships in sync.
  • New-drop and supporter-related notifications depend on your account state, permissions, and the creator experience you are using.
  • If you are not seeing alerts, check both your app permissions and the email address connected to your fan account.

11. Troubleshooting and support

Most issues are solved by confirming the right account, refreshing access, or updating the app.

  • If Library looks empty, confirm you are using the same fan email that unlocked the release or subscription.
  • If a download does not arrive, check spam or promotions because album download links are delivered by email.
  • If the app asks for an update, install the latest version before trying the action again.
